THE PROCESS: Once you checkout with your chosen optic cut you will receive an email with instructions on how to ship the slide to us. We work with a local company to offer the nitride, so lead times are not guaranteed. It is similar to many factory coatings and offers a clean uniform black look. The nitride is a much harder finish than the Cerakote and will not wear as quickly. We also now offer a black nitride coating.

If the Cerakote option is chosen, we will remove your channel liner and install a new one after coating. This type of finish is not as consistent and visually appealing as the Cerakote, but offers some protection for the bare metal. The cold bluing will be applied to just the area we cut and your factory finish will remain everywhere else. We offer the Cerakote in Graphite Black, FDE, ODG, Tungsten and Burnt Bronze and it will be applied to the entire slide. **Please note: The Glock 42 model can be cut for this optic, but the rear iron sights will be eliminated completely.ĬOATINGS: There is also an option to add Cerakote or bluing to the slide. We also offer an iron sight relocation service where the optic will be cut to the rear of the slide and the iron sight dovetail will be recut in front of the optic. IRON LOCATION: You may choose to keep your irons in the factory location, which will mean the optic sits in front of the rear iron sight. Recommended Sights for Lower 1/3 Co-witness: Angry Bear Arms Suppressor Height Sights OR Dawson Precision. The holes are threaded 6-32 and for a a 507k/407k you will need 6-32 x 3/8 screws. The right threaded hole will be shallower than the left so that it does not interfere with the extractor pin. The threaded holes will not break into any of the internal parts of the slide. The front bosses WILL be milled in to locate the optic as this is the way the optic was designed to be located and this ensures universal fitment for any optic that is in spec.
